The Extech RE300 ExStik ORP Meter is a handheld device that measures ORP (oxidation-reduction potential) in various solutions. The full set includes six AA batteries, an SD card, a hard carrying case, sample buffers, a mini pH electrode, and a thermistor temperature probe. The meter's log is capable of datalogging information from 1 second to almost 9 hours, with data saved on the SD card. However, this product does not ship with thorough instructions. Customers have reported inConsistent and unreliable readings due to moisture penetrating the meter's compartment, which appears to be a design flaw. Some users have had difficulty getting Consistent baseline readings, which requires an attempt to decipher vague instructions. Others reported inConsistent readings even after receiving replacements. The product's probe must be purchased separately to measure ORP, although it is capable of measuring pH too. The device is made in China, and some issues could be due to a long journey that damages the probe. The Construction is excellent and much better than many other devices that have exposed electrodes.
