"The movie Tarzan, The Ape Man, released in 1981, is a laughable yet entertaining film. Bo Derek delivers a spectacular performance and shines as the lead character, Jane. The plot revolves around Jane and her father's expedition into the jungle in search of an elephant graveyard. Two-thirds into the movie, we finally get to see Tarzan, played by Miles O'Keefe. Although Tarzan doesn't speak, his presence is captivating and he is accompanied by his pet monkeys, lion, and elephant. The movie takes us on an adventure as Tarzan rescues the search party from hostile natives. The Burroughs estate legal battle added to the buzz around the film. The widescreen transfer and surround sound enhance the viewing experience, and the end credits hold a surprise for the audience. While some viewers felt that the movie didn't live up to their expectations, others appreciated its nostalgic value and found it to be better than they remembered. Overall, Tarzan, The Ape Man offers an entertaining experience, especially for fans of Bo Derek and those who enjoy adventure films."
