The Monroe Shocks & Struts OESpectrum 37316 Shock Absorber is a single shock, with no mounting hardware included. The dust cover is made of metal. Monroe has a plant in Monroe, Michigan, and a plant in Arkansas, with a world headquarters in Lake Forest, IL. Monroe shock absorbers are effective for light trucks and easy to install, giving a smooth ride quality that feels as good as OEM. However, some customers have faced issues with the product, such as the bolt eyes being tilted and the shock not extending after compression, which requires them to return the product to the manufacturer. In some cases, the product makes a creaking noise when flexed, which has not been responded to by Monroe customer service.
