Can you list what is in this kit?
Answer: Compared to the $65 gun/flare kit, it’s $25 for the whistle, mirror, and bag. -

What is the expiration date?
Answer: These items expire 42 months after the date of manufacture in accordance with Coast Guard requirements. -

Is there room in the bag for a couple smoke and or hand flares?
Answer: I am not sure. -

Can you use these off shore more than 10 miles out?
Answer: I would think there would be a larger model for that far out. This is about the size of a shotgun shell. -

What is the manufacturer date?
Answer: The launcher does not have a manufacture date, but the brochure was revised on 10/20. Flares expire on 10/24. -

If you can't answer when the expiration date is, can you tell me the date of manufacture?
Answer: I bought them 2 years ago, and they were manufactured 3 months before I got them. -

When is the expiration date if I buy today 4-4-20?
Answer: The expiration date isn't based on the date you purchase this item. These items expire 42 months after the date of manufacture in accordance with Coast Guard requirements. -
Question:
Will flares work after being in water?
Answer: Not certain, but they look self-contained and sealed up. My guess would be yes, as long as the center fire primer isn't rusted. The flares are housed in solid plastic, not paper.
